Girls XC finishes in 3rd place / Boys XC in 6th place at Shepherd Invitational

The Carson City - Crystal Eagle Cross Country teams competed at the Shepherd Bluejay Invitational in a preview of the Regional Course at Shepherd High School.

The girls finished in 3rd place with 58 points. Breckenridge won the meet with 22 points. Leading the way for the Lady Eagles was Allyson Stevens (6th, 21:49), followed by Molly Dailey (13th, 22:57), Aoife O'Grady (14th, 23:14), Christina Schafer(15th, 23:24), and rounding out the scoring was Ariana Dockham (21st, 24:32)).

The boys finished in 6th place with 106 points. McBain won the meet with 41 points. Leading the way for the Eagles was Coleman Clark (8th, 17:56), followed by Jamison Ward (12th, 18:03), Calvin Clark (22nd, 19:13), Jared Shepler (35th, 20:06), and rounding out the scoring was Jake Hanes (39th, 20:30).

"I thought we had an ok day. Both teams ran strong but were about 30-50 seconds off their PR. We got experience on the Regional course and will get in some good practice and regroup for the next meet."

Their next meet is the Spartan Invitational on September 15th at Forest Akers East Golf Course in East Lansing.
