CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS PUNCH TICKETS TO STATE MEET

Game Date: Oct 27, 2017

On Friday, October 27th the Eagle Cross Country teams competed at the Division 4 Regional at Shepherd High School.

The Lady Eagles finished in 2nd place (58 points) and qualified for the State Finals at MIS in Brooklyn. Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart won the meet with 15 points.

The Lady Eagles were led by Molly Dailey (11th, 21:28), followed by Allyson Stevens (12th, 21:38), Sarah McCrackin (13th, 21:44), Christina Schafer (16th, 22:44), and finishing the scoring was Ariana Dockham (22nd, 23:36).

The boys finished in 3rd place (104 points) and qualified for the State Finals at MIS in Brooklyn. Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart won the meet with 47 points.

The boys were led by Coleman Clark (4th, 16:48), followed by Jamison Ward (11th, 17:16), Chase Wadle (25th, 18:10), Calvin Clark (30th, 18:20), and finishing the scoring was Jake Hanes (34th,18:32).

" Both teams ran GREAT today. Every place counted today and every runner fought for each place they got. CC-C hasnt sent both teams to the State Finals since 1997. The last time the boys went as a team was in 2007. They ran very well and 6 runners got big lifetime PR's while the other 7 runners were within a few seconds of their lifetime bests. It was truly a great day to be part of the C5 program."

Both teams will compete at the MHSAA Division 4 State Meet on Saturday November 4th at Michigan International Speedway.
